WTM is here! A must visit for every hotelier.
It’s that time of year again! A leading global event for the travel industry, World Travel Market, is hitting London on the 6 – 8 November 2017. This is the 37th edition of the world-renowned show, with 5,000 exhibiting destinations and over 51,000 travel professionals, journalists, digital influencers, key industry buyers and tourism ministers present. In short, the most important people in travel will be there.
Why attend?
As mentioned above, WTM really is the place to be for travel professionals. WTM generates more than £2.8bn of business contracts between employees, meaning that if you’re looking to meet a potential new partner then coming to WTM is a no-brainer. Attending gives you the chance to view the entire world of travel under one roof and establish your presence in the industry; whether you’re a small independent hotel or a huge group you’re bound to meet someone who can help take your hotel to the next level.
Apart from the plethora of exhibitions available, WTM is also offering its brilliant Speed Networking Programme. This consists of quick, face-to-face meetings that connects travel buyers with global travel retailers. The benefits of meeting in person are huge compared to speaking over the phone or via email; through the Speed Networking Programme you can get a real feel for who you’re talking to, what their mentality is, what their personality is like and ultimately whether you’d like to work with them.
What’s new?
The latest event is as amazing as previous years, it was opened by Princess Diana back in 1985 and the location of the first summit on Tourism and Climate Change in 2007. Due to huge demand and popularity, WTM London for the second time is a three-day event, meaning that there’s more exhibitions to see, more people to meet and more business opportunities than ever before. The very latest innovations in travel technology we’ve seen over the last year will be on show too so you can keep up-to-date with how to equip your hotel with the technological tools for success.
